SEC Announces Women's Basketball Home and Away Matchups

NORMAN – The SEC revealed home and away opponents for the 2026-27 women's basketball slate on Tuesday.
Oklahoma will host Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas and Vanderbilt at the Lloyd Noble Center, and will travel to Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M across the 16-game slate.
In games now announced, the Sooners are set to face seven teams ranked in ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25, including four at Lloyd Noble Center as No. 1 South Carolina, No. 8 Texas, No. 11 Vanderbilt and No. 17 Kentucky all head to Norman. Oklahoma checks in at No. 24 in the same poll.
For the 18th straight season, SEC teams will play a 16-game schedule. In 2026-27, each team will play a single round-robin (14 games) and have one rotating opponent (2 games). This season, Oklahoma's rotating opponent is South Carolina.
Led by head coach Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners went 11-5 in SEC play last year and advanced to the SEC Tournament quarterfinals. The 2027 SEC Tournament is set for March 3-7 in Greenville, S.C., at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
Oklahoma welcomes back a host of familiar names in 2026-27, highlighted by national freshman of the year Aaliyah Chavez and senior All-Conference honoree Sahara Williams. Five other returners that saw playing time last season will join a newcomer group of seven players – three freshmen and four transfers.
The full 2026-27 schedule, including dates and times, will be announced at a later date.
In addition to its conference slate, Oklahoma has previously announced two games. The Sooners open the season in Paris, France, against North Carolina on Nov. 2 and are slated to face Syracuse in New York on Dec. 3 for the SEC/ACC Challenge.
