NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma women's basketball program announced its full 2026-27 schedule Thursday, a slate that features 17 games against teams that advanced to the 2026 NCAA Tournament, including four matchups against three Final Four teams from a season ago.
Oklahoma will play a 31-game regular season with 16 games at Lloyd Noble Center, nine true road contests and six neutral-site games.
OU, led by sixth-year head coach
Jennie Baranczyk, opens the season with an exhibition against Southern Nazarene Sunday, Oct. 25, before traveling to Paris, France, to face North Carolina Nov. 2 in the Oui-Play Classic.
The Sooners return to Norman for their Nov. 8 home opener against Morgan State to open a string of six consecutive games at Lloyd Noble Center. The home stand continues against San Jose State (Nov. 10), Oral Roberts (Nov. 13), Southern (Nov. 15), Texas Southern (Nov. 17) and Northwestern State (Nov. 19).
Oklahoma then heads to Jacksonville, Fla., for a pair of neutral-site games against Virginia (Nov. 23) and Montana State (Nov. 24) at the Scout Jacksonville Classic before traveling to Syracuse, N.Y., Dec. 3 for the SEC/ACC Challenge. The matchup with the Orange marks OU's lone non-conference road game as the Sooners look to remain perfect in SEC/ACC Challenge tilts.
The Sooners' non-conference schedule also includes a Dec. 5 meeting with Michigan in Brooklyn, N.Y., for the Women's Champions Classic, and a Dec. 12 Bedlam matchup against Oklahoma State at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. OU will host Southern Illinois (Dec. 9) and Louisiana Monroe (Dec. 21) at Lloyd Noble Center.
Oklahoma's final non-conference matchup will come during the heart of SEC play as the Sooners will face defending NCAA Champion UCLA Jan. 18 at a location to be announced at a later date.
In SEC play, each team will play 16 games, facing 14 conference opponents once and one opponent twice. Oklahoma's home-and-home opponent this season is defending national runner-up South Carolina, whom the Sooners split with last season.
The Sooners open conference action Dec. 31 at Ole Miss with their SEC home opener set for Jan. 3 versus Missouri.
The Sooners' remaining home conference games include Georgia (Jan. 7), Kentucky (Jan. 24), Vanderbilt (Jan. 28), Alabama (Feb. 4), South Carolina (Feb. 8), Auburn (Feb. 21) and Texas (Feb. 25).
Oklahoma's SEC road schedule features trips to Tennessee (Jan. 10), South Carolina (Jan. 14), Mississippi State (Jan. 21), Texas A&M (Jan. 31), Arkansas (Feb. 11), Florida (Feb. 14) and LSU (Feb. 28).
The SEC Tournament is scheduled for March 3-7 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C., with all 16 conference teams competing.
Oklahoma enters the season ranked 14th in
The Athletic's preseason top 15 and returns seven players from last season's Sweet 16 team. The group is led by reigning ESPN National Freshman of the Year
Aaliyah Chavez and 2026 FIBA gold medalist
Sahara Williams. Five additional returners who saw action in 2025-26 are joined by a seven-player newcomer class featuring three freshmen and four transfers.
Tipoff times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
