Three Sooners Earn 2026 All-SEC Rowing Honors

NORMAN — Oklahoma rowing placed three student-athletes on the 2026 All-SEC Team, the conference office announced Monday.

Alaina Ronning, Leah Brannon Reeves and Brooklyn Holland each earned all-conference recognition following standout seasons as members of Oklahoma's First Varsity Eight crew. The All-SEC Team is determined by finish in the First Varsity Eight grand final at the SEC Championship.

Competing in its second season as a member of the SEC, Oklahoma's 1V8+ earned a third-place finish at the SEC Championship on Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn., matching the crew's podium finish from the inaugural conference championship in 2025.

Ronning, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., primarily occupied the bow seat for Oklahoma's top boat throughout the spring. Holland, a junior from Moore, Okla., served as the stroke seat, while Brannon Reeves, a senior from Chandler, Okla., raced primarily in the seven seat.

The trio helped Oklahoma's First Varsity Eight collect multiple race victories and podium finishes throughout the 2026 campaign. The Sooners opened the spring season with a first-place finish at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational before earning a victory over No. 11 Michigan and Notre Dame at the Ohio State Spring Regatta.

Oklahoma's top boat also recorded three podium finishes at the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Raleigh, N.C., helping the Sooners post a season-best team performance entering postseason competition.

At the SEC Championship, Oklahoma's 1V8+ capped the regatta with a third-place finish in the grand final, closing a consistent season for the Sooners' top crew against one of the nation's strongest conferences.

The selections mark Oklahoma's second straight season with three All-SEC honorees after Allison Duff, Lale Edil and Caroline Downs earned recognition in 2025.
