Rowing Opens Fall in Oklahoma City

NORMAN — Oklahoma Rowing is set to take the water for the first time this season this Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Head of the Oklahoma, hosted by Riversport OKC in Oklahoma City.

The 2026 edition of the regatta marks its 22nd year, and OU's 16th appearance in the event. Oklahoma is slated to compete 38Ā total boatsĀ in the two-and-a-half-mile head races and four in the 500-meter OG&E NightSprints.Ā Last season, OU claimed six wins and 11 other top-three finishes, claiming the Ackerman cup for the second year in a row.Ā Ā 

The event is free to the public and is hosted by OCU at OKC Riversport, the only permanently lit racecourse in the world.Ā Live results can be found atĀ CrewTimer.
