NORMAN — Oklahoma's pitching staff was efficient and effective, holding Michigan (36-22) to three hits while a trio of Sooners drove in a pair in an 8-1 win OU (51-9) win Sunday, May 17 at Love's Field. The victory moves OU to its 16th consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance, the longest active streak in Division I. The Sooners outscored opponents, 28-1, in their three regional contests.
Oklahoma 8, Michigan 1
Kai Minor laced her third leadoff double in four games, starting a three-run first for the Sooners. After her,
Ella Parker walked and
Gabbie Garcia roped an RBI single to center. With the bags packed,
Isabela Emerling hooked a two-RBI single down the left field line.
Minor would score after reaching on a fielder's choice in the second, reaching home after a Parker single and Garcia sac fly.
Michigan's Erin Hoehn lifted a solo shot to the first row of the left center bleachers in the bottom of the second, putting the Wolverines on the board with the first and only run OU would allowed in the regional.
Oklahoma pecked away at the plate, adding runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh to extend its advantage to a comfortable size. Minor homered to center, Parker plated another on a bases-loaded walk and Agbayani drove in a pair with a double off the wall and a solo shot to right.
Audrey Lowry,
Kierston Deal and
Sydney Berzon combined to hold Michigan to just one run. Lowry worked around all three of Michigan's hits, fanning three while not permitting a free pass. Deal spun a scoreless frame, as did Berzon.

- Agbayani upped her career-high home run total to seven. She has hit two homers in regional play for the Sooners after launching one last year
