NORMAN – Eight Oklahoma men's gymnasts earned All-MPSF honors following the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship on Saturday, the league announced Monday.
Freshman Sasha Bogonosiuk earned All-MPSF honors on floor exercise, while senior Ignacio Yockers and redshirt freshman Colby Aranda were named to the pommel horse team. Junior Tas Hajdu earned all-conference recognition on still rings, and redshirt senior Fuzzy Benas was named All-MPSF on vault. Freshman Nathan Roman earned all-conference honors on parallel bars, while junior Nico Hamilton and senior Kelton Christiansen were named to the horizontal bar team.
The top gymnast from each school in each event at the MPSF Championship was an automatic selection, and one additional gymnast per event was chosen as an at-large selection, based on the highest remaining, score regardless of team.
Benas won the vault title with a 14.350, marking the third conference event title of his career and his second on vault (also won in 2022).
Hamilton claimed the horizontal bar title with a career-high 14.300, while Christiansen earned at-large honors with a 13.950.
Roman won the parallel bars title with a career-high 14.700. He ranks first nationally on the event with a 14.325 NQA.
Aranda took the pommel horse title with a 14.150 and ranks fourth nationally (14.300), while Yockers earned his fourth career All-MPSF pommel horse honor as an at-large selection.
Hajdu earned his second career All-MPSF honor as an automatic selection on still rings, while Bogonosiuk picked up his first career All-MPSF honor on floor exercise.
No. 1 Oklahoma will compete at the NCAA Championships on April 17-18 in Champaign, Ill. Selections are expected to be announced this week.
