Moldauer Claims Parallel Bars Title at U.S. Championships

PHOENIX – Oklahoma gymnastics alumnus Yul Moldauer claimed the parallel bars title at the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Championships Saturday evening at the Mortgage Matchup Center.
Moldauer registered a two-day parallel bars total of 29.986 to finish first at the USA Gymnastics national championship meet. He notched a score of 15.118 on Saturday after posting a 14.868 on Thursday.
This is Moldauer's fourth career parallel bars national championship, tying him for the most in U.S. Championships history.
Moldauer finished fifth in the all-around with a combined score of 163.896. He recorded an 82.123 on Saturday and an 81.773 on Thursday. He finished fourth on still rings (28.610), tied for 12th on floor exercise (26.700) and pommel horse (26.250), placed 13th on horizontal bar (26.000) and finished 23rd on vault (26.350).
Sophomore Nathan Roman finished ninth in the all-around with a two-day total of 160.860 (81.055 on Saturday and 79.805 on Thursday). Alumnus Fuzzy Benas placed 15th with an all-around total of 152.650 (78.550 and 74.100), while sophomores Alex Noel and Jesse Hanny tied for 20th with all-around totals of 149.450. Freshman Sasha Bogonosiuk finished 26th (146.600).
Roman finished fifth on parallel bars with a Saturday score of 29.210, eighth on horizontal bar with a two-day total of 26.700 and 13th on still rings with a two-day total of 25.950 (13.100 Saturday). Benas finished 11th on horizontal bar (27.800; 14.200 Saturday), while Bogonosiuk placed 14th on parallel bars with a two-day total of 27.150 (13.850 Saturday).
The USA Gymnastics Senior National Team is expected to be determined soon.
