April 12, 2026 | Men's Golf
NORMAN — OU men's golf closes its regular season this week as it tees off at the Ford Collegiate at Ford Field & River Club on Monday for a 54-hole tournament.
The 16th-ranked Sooners are one of six top-25 teams at the two-day event, including top-10 teams in No. 1 Auburn, No. 4 Texas and No. 7 LSU. The tournament, played in Richmond Hill, Ga., serves as a tune-up for the SEC Championship, slated for April 22-26, 2026, at Sea Island Golf Club in St Simons Island, Ga.
Teams will tee off on Monday morning and play 36 holes and the final round is set for Tuesday.
Head coach Ryan Hybl's lineup features its two All-Americans in Jase Summy, whose appearance at The Ford marks the last regular season event of his decorated college career, and Ryder Cowan, who has rattled off three straight top-10 finishes entering the week. Matthew Troutman, Cameron Cheek and Coltrane Mittag close out the OU lineup while Asher Whitaker will compete unattached.
The field is comprised of Army, No. 1 Auburn, Augusta, No. 23 Georgia, Georgia Southern, No. 19 Georgia Tech, No. 7 LSU, Notre Dame, No. 16 Oklahoma, South Carolina, No. 4 Texas, and Wake Forest.
The individual winner of the Ford Collegiate receives an exemption into the 2027 Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah, Georgia. The Club Car Championship is one of the premier events on the Korn Ferry Tour each year, and we are excited for this partnership with them to give the best collegiate players in the country an opportunity to compete on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2027.
The event is not open to the public and tickets are not available for purchase.
