SCENE SETTERS

• In search of its first conference tournament semifinals appearance since the 2022 Big 12 Tournament (under first-year head coach Porter Moser), Oklahoma faces an Arkansas team that tied for second place in the SEC and has won 10 of its last 13 games. The Razorbacks are 32-32 all-time in the SEC Tournament and have won one title (2000).

• Moser and Arkansas' John Calipari are two of the six SEC head coaches who have coached in at least one Final Four. The others are Tennessee's Rick Barnes, Ole Miss' Chris Beard, Florida's Todd Golden and Alabama's Nate Oats. All six head coaches will be on the sideline Friday.

• The Sooners are coming off a dominant 83-63 win over No. 6 seed Texas A&M on Thursday night in the second round. OU, which led by double digits for 32:34 and by at least 15 points for 25:58, got 20 points from Nijel Pack, 16 from Xzayvier Brown, 15 points and 10 rebounds from Derrion Reid and 14 points, nine boards and a game-high four assists from Tae Davis to win its sixth straight contest.

• Oklahoma's last four wins have come against teams it lost to earlier in the season (Missouri, Texas, South Carolina and Texas A&M [lost twice]). Arkansas would represent a fifth straight such victory.

• OU is the only Power Five team and one of just four out of 361 squads nationally to start the same lineup every game this season. Its starters have been guards Xzayvier Brown and Nijel Pack, forwards Tae Davis and Derrion Reid and center Mohamed Wague. Arkansas has started seven lineups.

• First-year Sooners Pack (22.0), Reid (17.5), Davis (16.0) and Brown (15.0) are all averaging at least 15.0 points per game in the SEC Tournament.

• During their current six-game winning streak, the Sooners have trailed for only 25:44 out of 245 minutes (0:15 vs. Auburn, 1:08 at LSU, 0:31 vs. Missouri, 7:43 at Texas; 16:07 vs. South Carolina; 0:00 vs. Texas A&M).

• Oklahoma has held each of its last seven opponents to sub-50% field goal shooting (42% combined) after five of its previous six foes shot at least 50%.

• Wague is coming off the most productive seven-game stretch of his career, averaging 9.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocked shots and 1.3 steals while going 25 for 33 (76%) from the free throw line against Texas A&M (twice), Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Texas and South Carolina. Included for the fifth-year center was a 12-point, 13-rebound performance against the Aggies (Feb. 21) and 18 points, nine boards and career highs of four blocks and four steals vs. Auburn (Feb. 24). He entered the seven-game stretch averaging 6.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 0.5 steals while shooting 60% from the foul line on the season.

• Long Beach State transfer Jadon Jones averaged 5.4 points over his first 19 outings, but over the last 10 games is averaging 7.1 points. The sixth-year guard, who is 17 for 36 (47%) from 3-point range over those 10 contests, has drawn 14 fouls while attempting a 3-pointer this season. The 2021-22 Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Year has 24 steals and 16 blocks over the past 16 games.
