POSTGAME NOTES

• No. 11 Oklahoma (20-6, 8-5 SEC) defeated No. 24 Georgia, 71-67, in Athens on Thursday, notching its fourth ranked win of the season and securing the program's fifth consecutive 20-win season under head coach Jennie Baranczyk. The stretch of 20-win campaigns is the second longest in program history, trailing only an eight-year run from 2005-13.

• True freshman Aaliyah Chavez scored 27 points to lead the Sooners. The guard has six 25-point games this season, more than every other SEC freshman combined. Chavez was 9-of-17 shooting made all eight of her free throws, extending her streak of made free throws to 37, tied for the third-longest streak in program history. Chavez has scored in double figures in 20 straight games – the 14th-longest stretch in program history and the second longest ever by an OU freshman (Courtney Paris, 36).

• Oklahoma led by 10, 37-27, at halftime and improved to 17-0 when leading at the break this season. Georgia stormed back in the second half, cutting the OU lead to just two multiple times in the final frame, but a late Sahara Williams 3-pointer and clutch free throws down the stretch from Raegan Beers iced the wire-to-wire win for the Sooners.

• OU dished out 16 assists on 25 made baskets and turned it over just 13 times, moving to 29-5 under fifth-year head coach Baranczyk when turning it over 13 times or less.

• The Sooners shot 37.3% (25-67) on the night, OU's lowest in a win this season, but held the Bulldogs to 67 points, improving to 14-1 this season when holding opponents under 70 points.

• Junior Sahara Williams scored 11 points and added six rebounds, two assists and three steals in the win. The forward was 4-of-15 shooting, but her late 3-pointer was critical to OU's win.

• Oklahoma has won five games this season by single digits, including each of its last three games.

• Oklahoma hosts No. 21 Tennessee on Sunday at the Lloyd Noble Center in its annual Pink Game. Tip is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN.
