Sooners Victorious in Top-Five Road Battle

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the first time in program history, the top-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team took down Florida on its home floor, earning a 198.075–197.575 victory inside the Stephen O'Connell Center on Friday evening. The Sooners topped the 198 mark for the third straight meet and fourth time in 2026.
The highlight of the night was Addison Fatta's first career perfect score. The sophomore anchored the vault lineup with a stuck Yurchenko 1.5 for a 10.0. Along with the vault title, Fatta secured the all-around title with a 39.575. Her 10.0 is the second of the year for the Sooners and second on vault. Freshman Ella Murphy earned the beam title with a career-best, near-perfect 9.975.
Oklahoma opened the meet on bars, sticking five dismounts to earn a 49.450. Sophomore Lily Pederson started the event with a 9.85, followed by a 9.875 from Murphy. Fatta and Hannah Scheible added matching 9.90s, while Mackenzie Estep earned a 9.925. Faith Torrez closed out the first rotation with a 9.85.
The Sooners led the Gators 98.875-98.625 after the second rotation, highlighted by Fatta's perfect mark. Torrez earned a 9.925, the only other score of 9.9 or higher in the rotation. Keira Wells recorded a 9.850, while Estep, Elizabeth Blessey and Elle Mueller notched 9.825s.
Both teams earned a 49.500 in the third rotation, giving the Sooners a narrow 148.375-148.125 advantage. Pederson and Murphy started with matching 9.875s, before Estep's upbeat routine earned her a 9.90 in the No. 3 spot. Mueller's intense choreography was on display as the sophomore notched a 9.925, her third straight mark of 9.90 or better. After a 9.775 from Fatta in the No. 5 spot, Pawlak closed out the rotation with a 9.925.
A season-high 49.700 on beam secured the victory for the Sooners, as they counted no scores lower than 9.90 in the rotation. Murphy was the highlight with a near-perfect 9.975 in the No. 3 spot. Torrez showed why she's the top beam worker in the nation with a 9.95, her sixth mark of 9.95 or better on the year. Wells added a season-high 9.95, while Mueller notched a career-best 9.925. Fatta and Pederson each tallied a 9.90 as the Sooners improved to 5-0 in the SEC.
