Women's Tennis Releases 2025 Fall Slate

September 12, 2025 | Women's Tennis

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's tennis coach Audra Cohen announced the Sooners 2025 fall schedule Friday.

Oklahoma is slated to compete in 12 events this fall, including seven professional tournaments and five ITA competitions across a three-month stretch.

"We're really excited about this fall schedule," Cohen said. "Hosting the ITA Central Regionals is a great opportunity for our players to qualify for NCAA individuals. The schedule also gives our team the chance to compete in professional events throughout the fall.

In addition to the listed tournaments, we'll also be participating in our local OKTF events — the Norman Open and Edmond Open. These are fantastic opportunities for our community to come out and support our Sooners."

Fall action begins in late September when a group of Sooners travel to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 20-28.

For the first time since 2019, OU will host the ITA Central Regional Championship at Headington Family Tennis Center, Oct. 16-20.

November features three competitions, starting with the squad splitting between the ITA Conference Masters Championship in San Diego, Calif., and the ITA Sectional Championships in College Station, Texas, Nov. 6-9. Both events will offer opportunities for players to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships later in the month.

The fall slate wraps with the NCAA Individual Championships, held Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

Cohen's team returns five players from the 2024-25 season, which saw the Sooners reach an ITA team ranking as high as No. 3 in the country and secure their 16th NCAA Tournament appearance: senior Julia Garcia Ruiz, redshirt junior Roisin Gilheany, junior Chloé Noël, and sophomores Gloriana Nahum and Salakthip Ounmuang.

Senior Barakat Quadre, a transfer from Florida International, joins a highly touted international freshman class that includes Laure Brunkel (Denmark), Mika Buchnik (Israel), Evialina Laskevich (Belarus), and Edda Mamedova (Russia).

The Sooners' spring schedule will be unveiled at a later date.
