NORMAN — Two weeks after kickoff times were announced for four 2025 University of Oklahoma football games, ESPN released television start times Wednesday for two more OU contests and approximate start times for the Sooners' remaining six regular season games.
Designating windows for all games after Week 3 prior to the start of the season is a fan benefit of the conference rights agreement between the SEC and ESPN that began last fall. This year marks the second that all SEC league games will air exclusively on ABC and ESPN platforms.
All SEC-controlled games starting with Week 4 (Sept. 20) will have set television windows, with select contests tagged as 'Flex' games kicking off in either the 'Afternoon' or 'Night' windows.
Television start time windows for Weeks 4-14 are defined as follows:
•
Early: 11 a.m. to noon CT start
•
Afternoon: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CT start
•
Night: 5 to 7 p.m. CT start
•
Flex: Games flexed between the Afternoon (2:30-3:30 p.m.) and Night (5-7 p.m.) windows
Kickoff times for two OU home games were announced Wednesday. The Oct. 4 contest against Kent State will start at 3 p.m. CT and air on SEC Network, while the Nov. 11 Missouri game will begin at 11 a.m. CT and be televised by ABC or ESPN.
OU's Sept. 20 Auburn and Nov. 29 LSU home contests are designated as 'Flex' games that will start between 2:30-3:30 CT or 5-7 CT. The Sooners' Oct. 25 home game against Ole Miss will be an 'Early' start. TV information for all three contests is TBA.
The Sooners' Oct. 18 game at South Carolina will be an 'Early' start while Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 games at Tennessee and Alabama, respectively, are 'Flex' selections (TV information TBA).
Exact start times with the assigned windows (Early, Afternoon, Night, Flex) and network designations will be determined during the season.
It was announced in late May that OU's Aug. 30 home game against Illinois State will start at 5 p.m. CT (ESPN+/SECN+), its Sept. 6 home contest against Michigan will kick at 6:30 p.m. CT (ABC) and its Sept. 13 game at Temple will begin at 11 a.m. CT (ESPN2). Additionally, the Allstate Red River Rivalry against Texas on Oct. 11 in Dallas will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT for the second straight year and air on ABC or ESPN.
Eight of OU's 12 regular season games this season, including five of seven home contests, will be 'Afternoon' or 'Night' contests.
