COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 18 Oklahoma men's track and field team wrapped up day one of the NCAA West First Rounds Wednesday night at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Colton Rhodes (pole vault),
Anthony Riley (long jump) and
Tucker Smith (shot put) sealed their entry to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 11-14 with top-12 finishes in their respective events.
Anthony Riley claimed his spot at the final site with eighth place and a 7.73m (25'4.50") mark in the long jump. The graduate student will make his fourth appearance on national stage, having qualified every outdoor season of his career (2021, 2022, 2024, 2025).
In the pole vault,
Colton Rhodes cleared a personal-best 5.42m (17'9.25") on his final attempt to advance to Eugene. With this mark, he climbs to No. 9 all-time in OU history.
Tucker Smith added Oklahoma's final entry to NCAAs on day one with seventh place in the men's shot put. The junior solidified his first trip to the championship with a 19.06m (62'6.50") toss on his first attempt.
On the track, freshman
Samuel Toili posted a 46.50 time in heat three of the 400-meter dash. He finished third in his section to gain automatic qualification to the quarterfinal Friday at 6:50 p.m. CT.
Competing in his final meet as a Sooner,
Danny Doheny finished 17th in the javelin with a 67.23m (220'7.00") toss. He concludes his career ranked No. 3 all-time in OU outdoor history.
The women's squad is scheduled to compete Thursday with events starting at 10 a.m. CT. Live results of the meet can be viewed on
