NORMAN – The No. 2 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team will look to continue its NCAA regional success under 19
th-year head coach K.J. Kindler this weekend at the NCAA Seattle Regional, April 4-6. Since 2010, the Sooners own 14 consecutive regional championships and 53 individual regional championship titles. The Sooners are the No. 1 seed in the Seattle Regional and will face No. 15 Auburn, Nebraska and the winner of the Illinois/UC Davis first round meet at 9 p.m. CT on April 4.
The afternoon session on Friday features No. 7 Missouri, No. 10 Georgia, Arizona and Arizona State. With the new changes to regional formats starting in 2019, should the Sooners be one of the top two teams on Thursday, they will advance to Sunday's regional final along with the advancing teams from the first session.

As the newcomers to the league, the Sooners made a splash in their debut season. At the SEC Championships,
Faith Torrez made history as the first Sooner to earn an individual SEC title. Torrez won a share of the beam title with a 9.925, while winning floor outright with her second perfect 10 of the season.
Jordan Bowers was named the SEC Gymnast of the Year, earning her second straight of the year title after earning the same honor in 2024 as a member of the Big 12. Bowers was also one of seven Sooners to be named to the All-SEC Teams, earning nods on bars, beam, floor and in the all-around.
Torrez claimed a league-best five honors, earning recognition on every event and the all-around.
Audrey Davis (all-around, bars),
Lily Pederson (vault, bars) and
Keira Wells (vault) were also named to the All-SEC Team. Pederson was named to the All-Freshman team with five accolades, alongside
Addison Fatta with four (bars, beam, floor, all-around) and
Elle Mueller with a nod on floor.
ALL-AMERICAN SOONERS
Five members of the No. 2 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team combined to secure 14 regular season All-America honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).
Seniors
Jordan Bowers and
Audrey Davis, junior
Faith Torrez, sophomore
Keira Wells and freshman
Lily Pederson all received recognition from the association.
Torrez paced the Sooners with five All-America honors, her first time earning all five awards. The junior earned first team honors on vault, beam, floor and the all-around and second team honors on bars. Bowers earned four honors in her senior season with first team recognition on beam, floor and the all-around and second-team honors on bars.
Davis and Pederson each brought home a pair of accolades. Davis was named to the first team on bars after finishing the season as the No. 1 ranked athlete on the event, while also earning second team honors in the all-around. In her first season of competition, Pederson earned second team honors on both vault and bars. Wells picked up her first regular-season honor with a second team nod on vault.
ROAD WARRIORS
In the last decade, the Sooners have shown they are a force to be reckoned with away from the friendly confines of Lloyd Noble Center. Since 2015, the Sooners boast a 232-15 record on the road, a 93.9 percent win rate. This includes a 61-6 record at true away competition sites and a 171-9 mark at neutral sites. In 2025, the Sooners are 16-2 in road meets.
ROTATION ORDER
The rotation order for regionals was determined by a blind draw prior to the selections. The Sooners will rotate floor, vault, bars, beam during Friday's second round meet. Should they advance to Sunday's final, they will begin on bars and rotate beam, floor, vault.
2024 REGIONAL REWIND
In 2024, the Sooners won their 14th straight regional title with a first-place finish at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional. OU posted a nation-best 198.400 in the regional final, their second-highest regional score in program history. The Sooners swept the regional individual podium as
Jordan Bowers won three titles (bars, floor, all-around) and
Katherine LeVasseur (vault) and
Ragan Smith (beam) each brought home one.
SOONERS IN SEATTLE
The 2025 Seattle Regional will mark the second time under head coach K.J. Kindler that OU will venture to the Pacific Northwest for regional competition. In 2017, the Sooners won the regional crown to advance to the NCAA Championships, where they would go on to win the national title.
In 2017, the Sooners snagged at least a share of four individual titles, all with scores of 9.95. On vault, junior AJ Jackson and freshman Maggie Nichols shared the top honor. Nichols and senior Chayse Capps finished first on beam, while Nichols also claimed the top spot on floor and secured the all-around title with a 39.750.
CLOUD 9.9
Through the regular season, the Sooners have posted 159 scores of 9.9 or higher. With 312 routines competed, that means 50.6 percent of routines have scored a 9.9 or higher. OU has put up double-digit marks of 9.9 or higher in 12 of 13 meets, including a season best 18 at Georgia on March 14. On five occasions, at least 50 percent of OU's routines earned a 9.9 or higher.
900 AND COUNTING
On Friday, Feb. 21, the Sooners took down Florida for the 900
th win in program history. Since the first season in 1981, the program has a winning percentage of .733. Head coach K.J. Kindler has more than half of those wins with 532 to date for a .890 winning percentage.
QUICK FLIPS
- The Sooners have hit 309 of 312 routines this season for a hit percentage of .990. Six athletes are perfect on the season and of those eight, four have competed in every meet in 2025.
- Of the nine athletes who have competed this season, six have won at least one event title and five have won at least two.
- Faith Torrez and Jordan Bowers lead the squad with 27 and 18 event titles, respectively. Torrez owns and event title on every event and in the all-around, while Bowers has at least one title on three events and the all-around.
- Bars has seen eight different athletes compete at least one routine in 2025. Vault, beam and floor have all had seven athletes compete at least once.
LOOKING AHEAD
The top two placing teams from each regional will advance to the 2025 NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 17 and 19. Should the Sooners advance, they will compete in a semifinal against the winners of the Tuscaloosa Regional which includes No. 3 Florida, No. 6 California, No. 11 Alabama and No. 14 Oregon State.
