Rischer Named SEC Golfer of the Week

NORMAN – Oklahoma women's golf freshman Audrey Rischer was named SEC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after her career-best finish at the MountainView Collegiate this week.
Rischer tied for second (-2) at the event, leading the Sooners to a fourth-place team finish. She posted rounds of 68-74-72, totaling seven birdies, and was one of just seven players to card an eagle over 72 holes. Rischer was one of only three golfers to conclude the event under par.
In her first year at OU, Rischer boasts a team-best three top-five finishes in her eight tournaments as part of the Oklahoma lineup. She also tied for fifth at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational and tied for fourth at the Paradise Invitational last month.
This is Oklahoma's second SEC weekly award this season. Senior Reagan Chaney was named SEC Golfer of the Week on Oct. 23.
The Sooners return to action March 17-18 at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas.
