Oklahoma to Compete in Betsy Rawls Invitational

NORMAN – Oklahoma looks to continue its strong spring season next week as it heads to Austin, Texas, for the Betsy Rawls Invitational. The 54-hole tournament is set for March 17-18 at the University of Texas Golf Club.

The Sooners' lineup will feature juniors Gracie Mayo and Savannah Barber, senior Reagan Chaney, freshman Audrey Rischer and junior MaKayla Tyrrell. Junior Isabelle Schlick will compete as an individual, playing unattached from the team lineup.

LAST TIME OUT
Oklahoma secured a fourth-place finish at the MountainView Collegiate on March 4, marking its third consecutive top-five finish to open the spring season. The strong start has propelled the Sooners into the top 35 of the national rankings.

Freshman Audrey Rischer led OU at the event, finishing as one of just three golfers under par to earn a career-best runner-up finish. Her standout performance also earned her SEC Golfer of the Week honors on March 5.

Mayo and Barber each posted top-20 finishes, tying for 11th and 19th, respectively. Chaney tied for 36th, while Tyrrell tied for 63rd to round out the Sooners' scoring.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Oklahoma has competed in the Betsy Rawls Invitational 34 times in the tournament's history. The Sooners' top result came in the 1994-95 season, with a second-place finish. More recently, OU fired a school record 18-under in the final round at the 2021 event en route to a third-place finish.

FORMAT
The two-day tournament will open with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT on Monday, March 2, with two rounds of play on the day. The final round on Tuesday will include tee times between 8:15 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. CT off holes 1 and 10.
