Sooners Set Out to Florida for Big Ten Invite

NORMAN - Oklahoma rowing travels to Sarasota, Fla., for the Big Ten Invite at Nathan Benderson Park April 19-20.

The Sooners will send five boats to compete during the two-day regatta and will face 16 teams, including six ranked opponents and six programs that receive votes in the weekly Pocock CRCA poll. Oklahoma will join fellow Big 12 members Alabama, Tennessee and UCF at the event.

The first OU boat hits the water at 9:50 a.m. CT on Friday. Races are split into three sessions across both days. RHS TV will broadcast the event.

SCOUTING THE FIELD

Alabama, Brown, Clemson, Duke, Indiana, Iowa, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Rutgers, SMU, Tennessee, UCF, UCLA and Wisconsin.

Six of the 17 teams are in the top 20 of the Pocock CRCA poll.

No. 5 Brown, No. 9 Michigan, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 14 Duke, No. 15 Tennessee and No. 16 Indiana.
