NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma was named a host institution for a pair of postseason events, including a national championship, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

Lloyd Noble Center will serve as the venue for the 2027 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships, while the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club will host a 2028 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional.

Championship gymnastics returns to the competition floor of Lloyd Noble Center in 2027 for the sixth time since 2000. OU has hosted the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships more than any other school in the nation over the last 25 years, serving as host institution for the 2002, 2006, 2012, 2015 and 2022 championships. The Sooners won the team national title in three of those years (2002, '06 and '15).

"We're excited that the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships are returning to Norman in 2027," said Mark Williams, who is in his 26th year as OU men's gymnastics head coach. "We look forward to hosting world-class gymnastics, and the opportunity to compete for a national title right here on our campus."

The Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club, home to both the Oklahoma men's and women's golf programs, will host its ninth NCAA Division I regional in 2028. The course has previously welcomed seven combined men's and women's NCAA Division I regional championships, including events in 1998 (men), 2012 (men), 2013 (women), 2018 (men), 2019 (women), 2022 (men) and 2023 (men). Named the No. 6 college golf course by Golfweek in 2022, Jimmie Austin is also slated to host a women's golf regional in May 2025.

"We are thrilled to welcome postseason golf back to Norman in 2028," men's golf head coach Ryan Hybl said. "The selection of Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club to host its ninth NCAA golf regional underscores its reputation as a premier championship venue. We look forward to showcasing our home course and hosting some of the nation's best as we continue to pursue championships."

In addition to these events, Oklahoma will continue to serve as the host for the Women's College World Series, held annually at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
