Seth Tisdale
Seth Tisdale joined the University of Oklahoma in the summer of 2022 and is an athletic trainer who works primarily with the Oklahoma men’s basketball program.

Prior to OU, Tisdale spent four years as the associate athletic trainer at Mississippi State and worked with its men’s basketball and men’s golf programs. During his tenure in Starkville, Miss., the Bulldogs men's basketball program advanced to the 2019 NCAA Tournament and the 2021 NIT championship game.

Tisdale also served as assistant athletic trainer at St. Bonaventure from 2016-18. He worked with the men’s basketball program and helped revolutionize the sports medicine department. The Bonnies posted 20-plus victories in back-to-back seasons, highlighted by a 26-8 mark in 2017-18 and a win over UCLA in the NCAA Tournament First Four.

Prior to his time in New York, Tisdale was an assistant athletic trainer at Stetson, working with the men’s basketball and rowing teams during the 2015-16 athletic year. Tisdale started his career at VCU and worked with the women’s basketball and volleyball squads during the 2014-15 season. He aided in institutional drug testing and helped the VCU men’s basketball team.

Tisdale graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from High Point in 2012 and earned his Master of Science degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin in 2014. While earning his undergraduate degree, Tisdale worked with the High Point men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse programs. He also spent time with the Elon football team. At Stephen F. Austin, He worked with football, softball, volleyball and women’s tennis. Tisdale was a clinical preceptor for the graduate athletic training program and assisted with institutional drug testing.
In addition to being a certified athletic trainer, Tisdale is an instructor in First Aid/CPR/AED and Professional Rescuer courses with the American Red Cross. He also is a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, certified in FMS level 1 screen and is an authorized provider of the Graston Technique. Tisdale is an active member of both the NATA and CATS organizations.

Tisdale and his wife, Nicole, reside in Norman and have two sons, Luke and Noah.
