NORMAN -- Oklahoma junior
Asahi Harazaki continued his consistent doubles play alongside
Johan Rodriguez and delivered essential wins to contribute to both doubles points in OU's final regular-season wins at Arkansas and No. 8 Texas A&M.
Harazaki and Rodriguez set the tone early, earning the first doubles result in both matches with identical 6-4 victories. The wins helped give Oklahoma the early advantage heading into singles play. In the road dual against Arkansas, Harazaki cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 victory to secure the team win.
He followed that performance with another clutch effort at Texas A&M, battling through a three-set match after a lengthy weather delay. After dropping the opening set, Harazaki rallied to defeat Lathan Skrobarcek, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3, clinching Oklahoma's third top-10 victory of the season.
The Sooners now stand at 18-5 overall with 10 conference wins, including an active eight-match win streak. Oklahoma has recorded 12 wins over nationally ranked opponents, seven of which have come against top-15 teams.
