NORMAN — OU will play three exhibition games this fall against outside competition, as well as a trio of the team's annual Fall World Series contests.
The Sooners will play just one contest versus an outside opponent in Norman on Thursday, Oct. 8 vs. Missouri State at 3 p.m. The teams are set to play 14 innings. The game will be streamed via subscription on 1Oklahoma.com or fans can purchase a fall ball pass for $10.
OU will head to Lubbock, Texas, for a pair of fall exhibitions at Texas Tech, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-25. The games will be played at 1 p.m. and noon, respectively.
The team will hold its annual Fall World Series intersquad scrimmages Oct. 30 and Nov. 1-2 at Kimrey Family Stadium. Game times for all three matchups will be announced soon.
All four fall exhibitions in Norman will be free admission to the public. No live streams will be available for the Fall World Series. Weekly practice intersquads will also be open to the public and announced on a week-by-week basis via social media.

WE'RE BACK
• The Sooners enter 2027 with a wave of momentum coming off the program's third national title in 2026, a run that saw the team defeat nine national seeds in the NCAA tournament en route to their first national title since 1994.
• Oklahoma went 14-16 in conference play, winning four of 10 series before catching fire in the NCAA tournament and running to the title with an 11-2 record in postseason play.
• The 2027 Sooners return 14 student-athletes from a season ago, including freshman All-American LHP Cord Rager and CWS All-Tournament team honorees Dasan Harris and Jason Walk. Also returning is first basemen Dayton Tockey and Connor Larkin and second baseman Kyle Branch. The five returning position players have combined for 200 career starts for the Sooners.
• On the mound, OU returns nearly 50% of its innings pitched (265.5 IP) in starters Cord Rager, Xander Mercurius and Nick Wesloski, along with bullpen arms Jason Bodin, Gavyn Jones, Kadyn Leon, Jaden Barfield and Brisco Smith.
• The team welcomes 25 newcomers, including 19 transfers and six true freshmen.
SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENTS
• 36 games of OU's 2027 schedule have been announced, including all 10 SEC series. The complete schedule is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
• Oklahoma Baseball will open the season for the second straight year and third time in the last four seasons at the Shriners Children's College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
• The Sooners look to defend their Shriners Showdown title as the team kicks off the college baseball season for the second consecutive year, playing the the first game of the tournament vs. Arizona at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 19. It will be the first meeting between the programs since 2022.
• Day 2 in Arlington sees the Sooners match up with Clemson at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. The game will be just the third meeting all-time against the Tigers and first since a CWS matchup in 2010.
• Oklahoma will close opening weekend with the final game of the tournament on Sunday night, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m. vs. former Big 12 foe, TCU. A season ago, Oklahoma run-ruled the Horned Frogs, 12-2, in seven innings to cap an undefeated opening weekend and clinch the College Showdown crown.

• OU will take part in a second college baseball showcase, the Frisco Classic, March 5-7 at Riders Field in Frisco, Texas. The Sooners will match up with UC Irvine (Friday, 6 p.m.), Kansas (Saturday, 4 p.m.) and Southern Miss (Sunday, 3 p.m.) in the PEAK Events tournament, marking the fourth time in the last five years Oklahoma has played in a PEAK event, the last being a Round Rock Classic sweep in 2025.

• The SEC announced conference schedules in September, including Oklahoma Baseball's 10-series, 30-game 2027 slate. The Sooners are slated to meet eight conference opponents that made the 2026 NCAA Tournament, including series against five Super Regional teams (Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas) and a pair of College World Series participants in Georgia and Texas. OU's home SEC series are Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas and South Carolina.

THE MOST IMPROBABLE: 2026 NATIONAL CHAMPS
• The Sooners won the program's third national title in school history in 2026 and first since 1994 on a magical run that saw the team go 11-2 throughout the NCAA postseason, including nine wins over national seeds. Head coach Skip Johnson led the Sooners to the College World Series Finals for the second time in his nine years as head coach and was named the 2026 National Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
• Shortstop Jaxon Willits recorded 13 hits in 26 at-bats with seven runs batted in, five doubles, one home run, six runs scored to be named the CWS Most Outstanding Player. All-American Deiten Lachance recorded two home runs in the first game of the CWS Finals, becoming only the second player to ever do so in a Men's College World Series Finals game.
• The Sooners became the first team to win the national championship while starting a freshman pitcher for each game during the CWS Finals in Cord Rager, Xander Mercurius, and Nick Wesloski.
• The unranked Sooners recorded an NCAA Tournament-record nine wins against national seeds throughout the postseason to win the national championship (No. 2 Georgia Tech twice, No. 5 North Carolina twice, No. 3 Georgia twice, No. 15 Kansas twice and No. 7 Alabama once).
• Since trailing 8-2 in the fourth inning of an elimination game at the Atlanta Regional against Georgia Tech, the Sooners outscored their remaining opponents 90-28.
• The Sooners recorded 47 home runs in the final 19 games of the season after recording 48 home runs in their first 46 games.
A NIGHT WITH CHAMPIONS
• Join the Oklahoma Baseball program for 'A Night with Champions', Friday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. CT, to celebrate the 2026 National Championship. The evening will feature dinner on the field of Kimrey Family Stadium, a celebration of the program's championship tradition and a look ahead to the future of Oklahoma Baseball.
• The evening will feature Oklahoma legends and MLB Draft first-round selections developed under Skip Johnson — Cade Cavalli, Cade Horton, Kyler Murray and Kyson Witherspoon — along with coaching icons Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops.
• Guests will be among the first to see the 2026 National Championship ring and have the opportunity to participate in a live auction featuring exclusive experiences.
• Every dollar raised from the evening will directly impact Oklahoma Baseball, providing critical resources to recruit, develop and retain the best student-athletes and ensure the Sooners have what they need to continue their tradition of competitive excellence and pursue championships for years to come.
TOBY KEITH FAMILY PERFORMANCE CENTER ANNOUNCED
• Project 2 of the Kimrey Family Stadium Project was approved earlier this fall and will bring significant expansion and improvements to team facilities, upgrades to the seating bowl and new fan amenities, including new concessions, restrooms and a dedicated fan plaza. A major highlight of Project 2 includes the recently-announced Toby Keith Family Performance Center, a state-of-the-art indoor performance center that will provide student-athletes with premier resources for player development, training, sports performance and related team activities.
• Named in honor of Oklahoma icon Toby Keith, thanks to a significant philanthropic commitment to the University of Oklahoma baseball program from the Covel family of Norman, Okla., the Toby Keith Family Performance Center is part of a comprehensive $49 million renovation and expansion of Kimrey Family Stadium.
• The student-athlete areas of Kimrey Family Stadium, including the Toby Keith Family Performance Center, are scheduled for completion in spring 2028. Project 1 was completed prior to the 2026 season and delivered a series of enhancements, including updates to the outfield wall, batter's eye, bullpens, exterior fence and spectator areas beyond the outfield wall.
• No state-appropriated funds or funds from student tuition or fees will be used to subsidize the project.
• The Kimrey Family Stadium Project is being made possible through the generosity of donors whose investments are helping build the future of Oklahoma Baseball. Gifts of all sizes advance this transformational project.
