NORMAN – The Southeastern Conference announced the 2026 women's basketball conference schedule on Tuesday, unveiling Oklahoma's 16-game league slate.
For the 17th consecutive season, the SEC schedule will feature 16 conference games. Each team will play 14 opponents once — either at home or on the road — and one rotating opponent twice. Oklahoma's home-and-home series this season is with Texas A&M.
In its first season as a member of the SEC in 2025, Oklahoma posted an 11-5 conference record to tie for fourth in the league's standings and advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals before making its first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance since 2013.
Now, led by fifth-year head coach
Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners will tip off one of their most anticipated conference campaigns on Jan. 1 in College Station against the Aggies. The conference home opener follows just three days later on Sunday, Jan. 4, when OU hosts Mississippi State in Norman.
OU's seven remaining home contests are set for Jan. 8 vs. Ole Miss, Jan. 18 vs. LSU, Jan. 22 vs. South Carolina, Jan. 29 vs. Texas A&M, Feb. 12 vs. Florida, Feb. 22 vs. Tennessee and Feb. 26 vs. Arkansas.
After the New Year's Day trip to College Station, Oklahoma hits the road Jan. 11 at Kentucky, Jan. 25 at Auburn, Feb. 1 at Texas, Feb. 9 at Vanderbilt, Feb. 15 at Alabama, Feb. 19 at Georgia and March 1 at Missouri.
All 16 teams will play in the SEC Tournament, which is slated for March 4-8 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
Baranczyk's squad features four McDonald's All-Americans, including returning All-SEC standouts
Raegan Beers and
Payton Verhulst, junior
Sahara Williams and freshman
Aaliyah Chavez – the nation's top-ranked recruit in multiple rankings and Gatorade National Player of the Year. Ranked No. 6 in ESPN's offseason poll, the Sooners are set to welcome four top-15 opponents from that ranking to Lloyd Noble Center in Norman during conference play.
Tipoff times and TV network designations will be announced at a later date.
OU's full non-conference schedule will be released in the coming weeks, but two games have already been announced: a Dec. 4 home matchup with NC State and a Dec. 13 Bedlam showdown with Oklahoma State at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
