Beers Receives All-America Honors From the WBCA

April 03, 2025 | Women's Basketball

NORMAN – Oklahoma junior center Raegan Beers earned WBCA All-America honorable mention honors for the second straight year, the organization announced Thursday.

Beers, a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award, closed her junior season with All-America honors from the Associated Press, USBWA and WBCA after helping lead Oklahoma to its first Sweet 16 appearance since 2013.

On the year, Beers led OU in scoring (17.3), rebounding (9.4) and blocks (1.2) while recording 15 double-doubles – the most by a Sooner in a single season since Amanda Thompson had 16 in 2009–10.

An All-SEC first-team pick, Beers became the first Division I women's player in at least 25 seasons to average at least 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 63% or better in under 25 minutes per game.

She led the SEC in player efficiency rating (35.9 – 11th nationally) and was the only player in the country to average at least 31.0 points and 16.0 rebounds per 40 minutes. In 15 games against teams ranked or receiving votes in the AP Top 25, she averaged 16.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks.

Beers led all players in rebounding during the NCAA Tournament among teams that played multiple games, averaging 13.7 boards and 15.3 points as OU advanced to the second weekend of March Madness.

She recorded 13 games of 20-plus points and had two 30-point outings. Beers was named USBWA National Player of the Week after posting 30 points in back-to-back games vs. Vanderbilt and Arkansas, shooting 85.2% across those two contests. She became the first Sooner since Courtney Paris to score 30+ in consecutive games.

In total, she scored in double figures in 29 of her 33 games and collected 10 or more rebounds 16 times.

Oklahoma did not produce an All-America selection from 2014 through 2021. Under head coach Jennie Baranczyk, the Sooners have now had at least one in each of the last four seasons.

Beers is set to return for her senior year in 2025-26.
