NORMAN – With its non-conference schedule finalized, University of Oklahoma Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione and head coach
Jennie Baranczyk announced the Sooners' full 2025–26 slate on Monday.
Oklahoma will play 29 regular-season games, including 16 at Lloyd Noble Center, eight true road contests and five neutral-site matchups. The schedule features 12 opponents that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament, highlighted by marquee non-conference battles against UCLA (2025 No. 1 seed), NC State (No. 2 seed) and Oklahoma State (No. 7 seed) and a 16-game SEC slate.
The season tips off in Norman with an exhibition vs. Oklahoma Christian on Wednesday, Oct. 29, followed by the season opener at home against Belmont on Monday, Nov. 3. Additional non-conference home games include Kansas City (Nov. 12), North Alabama (Nov. 14), East Texas A&M (Nov. 19), NC State in the ACC/SEC Challenge (Dec. 3), Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 7), Little Rock (Dec. 11) and North Carolina Central (Dec. 22).
On neutral floors, a projected top-10 showdown with UCLA headlines Oklahoma's early schedule, as the Sooners face the Bruins on Nov. 10 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. ESPN's summer rankings placed UCLA at No. 3 and Oklahoma at No. 6. Later in the month, OU travels to Fort Myers, Fla., for the Coconut Hoops Classic at Alico Arena, where it will meet Coppin State on Nov. 28 and either Florida State or Missouri State on Nov. 30. Previously announced, the Sooners will renew their in-state rivalry with Oklahoma State on Dec. 13 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City — the first Bedlam clash since OU joined the SEC. The Sooners are 6–0 against the Cowgirls under Baranczyk.
OU's lone non-conference true road game comes on Nov. 16 in Cullowhee, N.C., against Western Carolina, who the Sooners set a program single-game scoring record against with 122 points in last year's matchup.
The SEC slate will feature 16 games with each team facing 14 conference opponents once and one team twice. Oklahoma's 2026 home-and-home pairing is with Texas A&M and league play opens Jan. 1 in College Station. In total, the Sooners will play nine SEC games against teams that reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including five at home: Mississippi State (Jan. 4), Ole Miss (Jan. 8), LSU (Jan. 18), South Carolina (Jan. 22) and Tennessee (Feb. 22).
All 16 conference teams will compete in the SEC Tournament, scheduled for March 4–8 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
Baranczyk's 2025–26 squad features four McDonald's All-Americans in All-SEC returners
Raegan Beers and
Payton Verhulst, junior standout
Sahara Williams and top-ranked freshman
Aaliyah Chavez — the consensus national high school player of the year. OU's incoming signing class, ranked No. 5 nationally by 247Sports, joins a veteran core that welcomes back three starters and four of the team's top scorers from last season.
Television network designations will be announced at a later date.
